Add password protection and restrict permissions for your PDF document.

Select PDF file: Max file size: 10MB.

Require Password to Open (Optional): Leave blank if no open password is needed.

Confirm Open Password:

Restrict Editing & Permissions with Password (Optional): This password allows changing permissions. Leave blank to use the open password (if set) or no password if open password is also blank.

Uncheck actions you want to restrict when the permissions password is set.

How It Works

Select the PDF document you want to protect.
Optionally, set a password required to open the document. Confirm it if set.
Optionally, set a different password to restrict editing and permissions. If not set, the open password (if provided) protects permissions, otherwise there's no permission restriction unless the document is encrypted.
Uncheck the actions (Printing, Copying, Modifying, Commenting/Forms) you want to disable when the permissions password is active. By default, printing and copying are allowed.
Click "Protect PDF". At least one password (open or permissions) must be set for protection to be applied.
Download your protected PDF when processing is complete.
